Binge-watch is Word of the Year
The word "binge-watch" has been chosen by Collins English Dictionary as its Word of the Year for 2015. The word means "to watch a large number of television programs (especially all the shows from one series) in succession." The word has become more relevant lately because it reflects the new way that many people view TV shows, due to video websites such as YouTube and streaming services such as Netflix. Commentators said that the word is used often because it is now common for viewers to binge-watch a whole season of programs in one sitting, which, in the past, would have taken months. o ther words on the annual list included: "dadbod" (dad + body) - an untoned and slightly plump male physique, especially one considered attractive; "clean eating" - following a diet that contains only natural foods, and is low in sugar, salt, and fat; and "ghosting" - ending a relationship by ignoring all communication from the other person.

Woman held hostage uses pizza ordering app to ask for help
A woman in Florida who was being held hostage by her boyfriend was able to save herself from harm when she ordered an online pizza with a secret message saying she was being held hostage. While Cheryl Treadway was being held at knifepoint by her angry boyfriend, she convinced him to give back her phone so she could order a pizza using a Pizza Hut smartphone app. In the order's "Comments" section, she wrote "Please help. Get 911 to me!" The Pizza Hut worker who saw the message in the order then called the police, who went to the hostage's house and arrested her boyfriend. “We've never seen that before,” said Candy Hamilton, the Pizza Hut manager. "I've been here 28 years and I've never, ever seen anything like that come through."

Woman kicked out of McDonald's for bringing a pet kangaroo
A woman in the U.S. state of Wisconsin was asked to leave a McDonald's because she was attempting to patronize the restaurant accompanied by her pet kangaroo. A customer at the restaurant called the police, who then asked the woman to leave. The woman, who was a cancer patient, told police that the kangaroo was a "service animal" to help her deal with the emotional distress of her illness, and showed police a doctor's note as proof. The police officer said the woman, who lives on a farm with several other exotic animals, was upset at first, but then agreed to leave the eatery.

She said she was inspired to use the strange moniker for the restaurant because every time she asked her three children what they wanted to eat, they would tell her "I don't know." The I Don't Know restaurant has only two tables and mainly caters to customers who want take-out food.

Last Sunday’s season premiere of “Game of Thrones” was watched by 16.1 million viewers across all platforms, including cable, online streaming and on-demand viewing. This is a 50 percent increase from last year’s Season 6 kickoff episode. The episode was the most-watched premiere ever for both “Game of Thrones” and HBO. The Season 7 premiere was arguably the most hotly anticipated episode in the show’s history, coming after a longer-than-usual hiatus between seasons. In years past, “Game of Thrones” seasons have debuted in April, but this season required a longer production period.
